Digital transformation of art

Visiting a museum and seeing works of art in person is an unparalleled experience. The light, the different colors, the strokes and the physical magnitude of each piece make us experience unique sensations. However, not everyone can physically go to all museums.

So for the Caja Extremadura Foundation, presenting its valuable art collection in a way that was accessible to everyone was essential. It needed to digitize and modernize the presentation of its art collection.

Our goal in this project was to create a web design that would visually highlight the works of art for the public, and that would have a search and filtering system to make it easier. In addition, to also include management through a customized system for administrators.

We developed their custom website with responsive design

We programmed the website with HTML5, CSS and Javascript. This way, we guarantee that the artwork can be viewed from any device.

Works of art natural way

In order to transport the same sensations you get when viewing a work of art physically in the museum to the digital environment, we focused on an elegant, clean and visually stunning design.

Each element of the web design for the Caja Extremadura Foundation is designed so that the works of art are the real protagonists, highlighting their details, features and all related information.

The visual structure of the website is fluid, and easily guides the user through the collections and exhibitions in an intuitive way. In addition to being able to easily filter the works by artworks, cultural assets and exhibitions.

Very simple management platform

We developed the web administration panel with Symfony.

This CMS has greatly facilitated the work of the Caja Extremadura Foundation team, as it allows them to manage the collection of works of art in a very simple way.

Within the panel, they can upload and edit new works of art, descriptions, images, titles and all the details and information of each of the works. They can also organize the categories to classify the pieces according to themes and exhibitions.

Achieved objective

Through the design and development of the website and the administration panel, we have managed to bring the experience of living and contemplating the works of art, transferring that same feeling to the digital environment.

Every detail of the design has been carefully chosen to transmit the essence of art to any person and to create an immersive space where art is accessible from any place and device, bringing culture closer to all audiences.
