Feeling at home everywhere

Digi Food is a mobile application from which you can order food at home to facilitate the daily lives of your customers. The app is designed to show users all the food options they have around them and at the same time allows them to explore new culinary experiences by discovering new home cooks.

But this time they wanted to go further. They wanted to offer their “home delivery” food services inside sports venues.

The idea is that their customers feel at the stadium as if they were on the sofa at home. They could order homemade food and drinks directly from their seats and receive them “in situ” without having to miss a minute of the game.

And to implement this idea, they needed an order management platform that also integrated a secure payment gateway and direct communication with the customer.

They told us about their idea, and we got down to work…

We developed a Backend for the management and sale of orders

Our objective: Create a web platform for the management and collection of food orders “at home” within sports spaces.

Digi Food in the different stages

We developed a very easy to use management panel so that anyone in the team could use it without special instructions or protocols.

Enter, create and receive orders.

From the panel you can register all the stadiums where Digi food is present.

Each stadium has its own characteristics and peculiarities, so it was important to be able to register in a meticulous but simple way all the stands, aisles, sections, rows, doors and seats of each stadium. From a specific function of the panel, the number of seats and how they are distributed were added so that there would be no errors.

Once the stadium map is created, the categories and products to be offered inside the stadium can be added. Each product is detailed with a name or description, a list of ingredients and photos of the product ready for consumption.

Easy payment through the app

The Digi Food platform is a great idea for all fans and fans who enjoy live sports. Being able to order food and have it delivered to your own seat inside the stadium with just one click and without missing a minute of the match is something that users appreciate very much.

We tried to make sure that fans made as few movements as possible to order food and drinks, so they could continue to enjoy their favorite sport. We integrated an online payment system into the app, through the Stripe payment gateway. Users ordered, paid and waited to receive their food.

Management panel for employees

The Backend also includes a specific management area for Digi Food employees in each stadium.

Every time a fan makes a purchase through the app, the workers automatically receive an audible notification with all the details of the order: products they have to prepare and precise location of the user in order to deliver the order.

Once they receive the notification they can change the status of the order through its different phases: “Order received, order in preparation, order completed, order on its way and order delivered”. The user can see, at all times, the status of their order to know when they will receive it.

This system improves the user’s experience with the app by keeping track of their order at all times and ensures that all logistics, from the time the order is received until it is delivered to the user, is smooth and error-free.

Usage and data analytics

The most important part of any project is to analyze the data and results.

So we include an analytics management panel where the data of all operations are recorded. Tables and graphs show in a very visual way the revenue analytics of the platform.

This data can be filtered by stages, days, weeks, months, etc… According to the analysis needs of each moment.

This is a fundamental aspect of any mobile application with payment gateway through the app.
