Improve communication within the company<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This company is present in different countries<\/strong> and has many offices and departments,<\/strong> so it is often difficult<\/strong> for them to segment the news<\/strong> they send to their employees, depending on their location and interests.<\/p>\n

In addition to managing information in different languages<\/strong> and controlling which people have access to internal news.<\/p>\n

They needed to implement a corporate mobile platform<\/strong> for large-scale communications that would be accessible to all employees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Looking for solutions to problems<\/strong><\/h2>\n

After a thorough analysis<\/strong> of the company and its situation, we determined that the best way to solve their problem was to identify and develop two distinct environments.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A mobile application for workers and a management panel<\/strong> to be able to administer and manage content.<\/p>\n

The department in charge of the application can publish as many messages as they wish<\/strong> and in different languages<\/strong>. These messages can contain links that will allow the user to complete the information by accessing the complete post<\/strong> on the website.<\/p>\n

But not only that, the corporate mobile news app has many more functionalities…<\/strong><\/p>\n \n \n

Corporate mobile news app for employees<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The user accesses the application<\/strong> with his intranet data, thanks to LDAP<\/strong><\/a> integration .<\/strong> In this way, the user does not have to register or create a new account to access.<\/p>\n

The corporate mobile news app is multi-language,<\/strong> being configurable by the user at any time.<\/p>\n

A very important point is that the content and texts of the app interface<\/strong> are displayed in the selected language.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Users only receive news specific<\/strong> to their location, segmented by country, headquarters and department. However, there may be global news that will be visible to all users of the application.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The iOS and Android mobile apps<\/strong> are natively developed in the Swift and Kotlin programming languages.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div> \n<\/section>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Management and administration<\/strong> panel<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The backoffice<\/strong> of this platform is, in essence, a content management system <\/strong>from which to control the contents of the application and the users who have access to it.<\/p>\n

The administrator users<\/strong> will have access to the content management system (CMS) with username and password.<\/p>\n

The CMS allows creating, modifying and deleting news.<\/strong> Any of these actions will be reflected in real time in the application,<\/strong> showing the new news item, the change in the modified news item or the deletion.<\/p>\n

The contents<\/strong> can be written in different languages<\/strong> and the users of the application will visualize<\/strong> them in the language they have configured in their phone.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is the possibility of marking a news item as important<\/strong> so that a push notification<\/strong> is automatically sent to the users that belong to the segmentation of the news item (country, headquarters and department).<\/strong> This is very useful for important notices and communications.<\/p>\n

From the administration panel<\/strong> you can also manage the access<\/strong> of users, to validate or unsubscribe people who no longer belong to the company. For an easy management of registrations and cancellations, an integration with the<\/strong>company’s intranet<\/strong> is made through LDAP to automatically register and deregister users.<\/p>\n

The management panel is developed with the Symfony framework.<\/strong> In addition, a REST API<\/strong> is programmed that is used by mobile applications to communicate with the database and the contents of the panel.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div> \n<\/section>\n\n\n\n\n

Internal communication from a Newsletter<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Once a month, all the news published<\/strong> in the last month is compiled <\/strong>and a newsletter is sent <\/strong>to all users in the corporate mobile news app.<\/p>\n

In this newsletter only the \u201cglobal\u201d news and the news corresponding to the country, headquarters and department of the user appear. It is a way to keep the user informed <\/strong>of the company’s news and to have in one place all the relevant news of the month.<\/p>\n \n \n

Usage and data analytics<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The most important<\/strong> part of any project is to analyze data and results.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the management panel of the corporate mobile news app there is an analytics section<\/strong> from which you can consult the registered users, their last access, news visited, etc.<\/strong> Perfect to know the movements and interests of workers and thus be able to optimize the communication strategy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For each news item, you can know the number of visits it has received and from which country, headquarters and department.<\/strong> This is useful to know which are really the topics that most interest<\/strong> the company’s employees.<\/p>\n \n \n
